Valeria Salinas-Sanchez, MD, FAAP |
Born into a family of renowned physicians, Dr. Valeria Salinas-Sanchez was raised in Santiago, Chile. She received her medical degree at the Universidad de Chile School of Medicine. After graduating, she moved to the U.S where she passed the American Medical Board Examinations and completed a Pediatric Residency Training Program at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, becoming a Board Certified Physician. After practicing for two years she ventured into emergency and hospital-based medical care, seeking diverse experience and understanding of all aspects of pediatric care. More than five years later, after learning the weaknesses of the traditional pediatric care system, she followed her passion to provide personalized, continous care as a primary care physician. Finding an alignment in treatment philosophies, she joined Miami Beach Pediatrics in 2003. Her solid understanding of health and illness processes permits her to educate and truly help her patients. She practices preventive medicine by providing guidance on achieving good nutrition and optimum patient development. When it is necessary to restore good health, she supports natural healing but will use conventional medicine if required. Dr. Salinas-Sanchez understands the philosophy and essence of homeopathy, and regularly refers her patients for homeopathic treatment as an effective alternative not only for acute illnesses but also, and especially for chonic conditions. |
