Emergencies and sick children are handled by calling our office at 305-672-7337. During office hours - we will always try to get you into the office that day to be seen by one of our doctors. We always ask for you to call the office first and we will either tell you how to handle the illness or problem at home, make you an appointment to come in that day ,or rarely need to send you to a Pediatric E.R. . After Office Hours - call 305-672-7337 and you will be connected to our receptionist of whom will forward your call to our Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. They will call you back within 2 hours to give you advice. If they feel it is beyond their expertise , they will either send your child to a pediatric ER or have the physician on-call return your call. We will always follow up with your child the next day in order to assure that your child is improving and get the child into our office to be seen as soon as possible during our next office hours. Fees for these visits range from $50 to $200/ visit but we generally take your insurance to pay and, unless you don’t have insurance , we only charge for your co-pay ie about $15-$30. Well child visits are annual check ups or wellness visits. During these visits we review how your child is growing and developing. We also include nutritional assessments and how they are developmentally progressing. A complete physical exam is then obtained . If labs or vaccines are needed we will also perform what is needed |
